Agios Ioannis
The first shop. Tucked into the neighbourhood. Lots of regulars, the kind of place where the barista starts on your order before you reach the counter.
Three Limassol neighbourhoods, three shops, one standard. We wanted coffee made well, every day, on the corner where people actually live.
Limassol had good coffee, but most of it sat in central spots you had to travel to. LaBarista was built for the everyday cup. The walk to work, the school run, the slow Saturday morning.
The first shop opened in Agios Ioannis. Then Mesa Geitonia, then Neapolis. Each one chosen for the neighbourhood it serves, not the foot traffic it could capture.
It is a hundred small things, done daily, without fanfare. These are the ones we hold tight on.
Specialty coffee, not commodity. Roasted to our spec, used within the week.
No microwave shortcuts. Steamed to texture, every cup.
Calibrated grinders. Shots pulled fresh, not held in a thermos.
Same training, same recipes, same standard. Skill is portable across our locations.
The first shop. Tucked into the neighbourhood. Lots of regulars, the kind of place where the barista starts on your order before you reach the counter.
Morning rush, afternoon laptops, an after-school wave of families. A spot that changes pace four times a day.
Outdoor seating, easy parking, the place you stop on the way somewhere and end up staying for a second cup.
Every drink in every shop is made by a barista trained on our equipment, our recipes, and our standards. The good shop is not one of our three locations. They all are.
We hire for warmth as much as for skill. The greeting matters as much as the pour. Coffee is a small daily luxury, and small luxuries are made of the everyday details.
